The fifth Sino-Euro Techical Seminar on Standards, Technology and Equipment of Building Indoor Air was held in Haikou, China on Novernber 10, during the Chinese Academy Conferencen on Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration.

The seminar was held by Prof. Manuel Gamerio, the vice-president of REHVA and Prof. Xu Wei, the chairman of CCHVAC.

Prof. Manuel Gameiro from University of Coimbra, Portugal made presentation on A distance-learing course on indoor environment comfort in Buildings. Prof. Li Xiangting from Tsinghua University gave a report on Building non-uniform and demand-oriented indoor environment. Mr. Christian Pluskwa, the manager of Uponor introduced DOAS in parallel with chilled ceilings. Prof Cao Yang, the deputed director of Nation HVAC Testing & Inspection Center, introduced latest R&D of ventilation recovery equipment. Prof. Cao Guangyu from Norwegian University of Science and Technology made presentation on Indoor air quality and ventilation requirement in Europe &REHVA GUIDEBOOK 19 Mixing Ventilation, Guide on mixing air distribution design. Prof. Gao Jun from Tongji Unversity introduced Kitchen ventilation for high-rise residential buildings in China.
